Ron Keasey
May 31, 1942 - August 15, 2004

Died Sunday afternoon, August 15, 2004 at University of Michigan
Medical Center in Ann Arbor. He was born May 31, 1942 in Sturgis, son
of Carlisle and Juanita (Storms) Keasey. Ron joined the United States
Coast Guard Reserve for two years during the Vietnam War. Following
his time in the reserves, he enlisted for four years in the US Coast
Guard. On November 24, 1973, Ron was united in marriage to Janice
Phillips in Kalamazoo. He was employed for 31 years by the Upjohn
Co./Pharmacia until his retirement in 1998. Following his retirement,
he worked for Pfizer Corp. as an independent contractor. Mr. Keasey
was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.

He enjoyed traveling in his RV with his wife and their dog, Chauncy. Ron
had a real passion for airplanes and enjoyed attending air shows and
visiting air museums, including the Kalamazoo Air Zoo. Surviving are
his wife, Jan Keasey; four children, Denise (John) Pajak of Battle
Creek, Chris (Carrie) DeFields of Bloomington, IL, Julie Keasey of
Grand Haven, and Matt (Angie) Keasey of Grand Haven; six
grandchildren, Christie, Brianne, Justin, Jarrett, Jaden, and
Samantha; three brothers, Loys "Bud" (Willie) Keasey of Kalamazoo,
Kevin (Sue) Keasey of Grand Rapids, and Dan Keasey; and one sister,
Karla Keasey of San Jose, CA. Preceding him in death are his son,
Christopher Keasey; and his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will
be celebrated at 11 o'clock on Thursday at St. Monica Catholic Church,
534 W. Kilgore Ave., with Father Robert Consani, Celebrant. Burial
will follow in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Friends may visit with
the family from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Langeland Family
Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave
