We lost a wonderful sister, mom, aunt, grandma, teacher and friend.  LaJuana Jeanne Emery, November 20, 1941 – July 17, 2005. LaJuana touched the lives of many people with her heart that always thought of others before herself. She devoted many years to children, her own as well as her grandchildren and many students. Surviving are her sister Cristine McCann; daughter Kyra Schaaf and husband Craig; grandchildren, Jacob, Sarah, Moriah and Anna Schaaf; a son Matthew Emery; niece Tamara Asher and nephews, Jeffry VanDenBos and Kevinvand Aaron McCann. A memorial service will be held at 2 o’clock Friday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. A reception with refreshments will follow the funeral service at Fleischer Field (next to the funeral home). Friends may meet the family on Thursday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in LaJuana’s memory may be made to Rose Arbor Hospice.
