Dave was one of the top scholars of our class. However, during the spring of 1964, his baccalaureate year with Western M. U., he was in an automobile accident that changed the course of his life. Dave lived his life with his parents who said of him that he never complained and went on his road in a positive way. He was able to make trips to Europe and the Orient. About ten years before his death he had a triple bypass. Diabetes also took its toll on him. He had been quite ill for some time and bedridden for the past 2-3 weeks during which arrangements were made with the Anaconda organization to donate his body to research in Maryland
