Susan J. (Heath) Stanisich (5/9/1942 – 6/1/2017), age 75, of Arizona City, died on June 1, 2017 at 7:00 AM MDT from injuries sustained from being struck by a vehicle while riding her bicycle. Sue, daughter of Walter and Eleanor Peapples, was born on May 9, 1942 in Kalamazoo Michigan. She was raised in Kalamazoo, attended Western Michigan University, and worked at The Upjohn Company for many years as an administrative assistant until retirement. She loved showing horses and raised 2 that were national champions. As well as showing horses, Sue was an accredited horse show judge. She was an avid motorcycle rider and was active with the Cycle Conservation Club of Michigan for over 25 years. She loved to travel all over the United States and eventually settled down in Arizona City, AZ. Her recent passion was “Jeeping” in the desert. She is survived by her brother John Peapples (Laura McNutt), two sons, Roger (Chris) Heath, Russell Heath, and five grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. A celebration in her memory will be held at Hearthside Apartments Community Room, Portage from 1 to 3 PM on July 15, 2017.
